We're Finally Home!!!

We finally made it home after a week in the hospital!! Little Foster recovered pretty fast. I ended up staying the whole time in the hospital with him. I really enjoyed my time with my sweet little guy, but I don't miss going up and down the halls and scrubbing up everytime just to see him. He is an easy going little baby, and we are so happy he is apart of our family now. Thank you for all your calls and visits, and we're especially thankful for your prayers!

Bridger wasn't able to see his little brother the whole time he was in the hospital, so he was pretty excited to see him, but he is still not quite sure about him moving in.

HOSPITAL MEMORIES

We spent quite a bit of time in our hospital room. Here are the boys watching a movie.

Garrett and Hetty came and visited.

We were laughing about how we thought baby Foster kinda looked like Garrett because they both have receding hair lines. I told Garrett I wanted to take a pic of them together, so he started looking all over the room, and we were trying to figure out what he was looking for. Then the nurse came in and he told her he wanted to find something like the feeding tube Foster had in, so she just gave him a feeding tube. We laughed so hard at him.. Only Garrett would do that!!!

Update on Foster

Things are getting a little better with Foster. We had an amazing experience last night. We still hadn't held him, and I was just so sad... They did let us change his diaper and comb his hair every 3 hours, and thats about it! We had an amazing nurse that after we weighed him she surprised me and handed him to me and he stopped crying instantly and his Stats all went normal.. It was an emotional and wonderful experience. I snuggled and held him for an hour and he looked up at me and it was just a beautiful moment. His stats are looking better, and we're hoping he'll pull out of this all soon. We've now talked the nurses and doctors into letting us hold him a little bit each time..:)We love little Foster so much!

Bridgers loving the time he is spending with Grandma and Grandpa!

We had our beautiful baby boy welcome us on August 18th. We've named him Foster Lee Ostrander.(Lee is after my Dad's middle name) He weighs 7 Pds. 6 Ounces and is 21 inches long. He has lots of dark hair, and he is just so sweet! It's been a tough time so far though.

The delivery was wonderful. I went on a hike and then went and walked around Costco, and labor hit me at Costco. My contractions became 3 minutes apart, but I still didn't believe it, so I told Mike to just drive home. When we were heading back home they became more painful and only 2 1/2 minutes apart, so we decided to turn around and speed to LDS hospital. I got in the hospital and wasn't in labor very long. I ended up only pushing 3 times and he came.

Unfortunatly the umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck. They put him on my belly and he was having a hard time breathing. It was super scary, so they took him away. He is having some respitory distress problems and is in the Special Care Nursery at LDS hospital. I haven't been able to hold him again. He has tubes, oxygen, and cords all around him. The doctors say it's something he'll get through and that it just takes time, so we need to just be patient.

We are just so thankful to have our sweet baby boy here. I know he'll get through it, but it's just been hard. Thanks for all your prayers. We'll keep you updated, but I'm praying it will just get better from here! We will post more pictures soon!

Lambert is healthy and doing Great! He loves Bridger and he followed him around everywhere he went.

He thinks he is a baby. He always runs to my Mom Baaaaing, and he loves to be held..

He loves to hangout with the horses.

We had a Great week up in Wyoming. Mike was able to work with the Vets up there, and we we're able to enjoy the great weather and some fun with the Fam! I was hoping the baby would want to come a little earlier while we were up there because the hospital in Jackson is soooo nice! I had Bridger there and they have the best nurses and doctors, and you get to have a candlelight dinner and bubble bath. It's pretty amazing!

10. Who cooks more? We both cook about equally. Mike loves to cook, and its not my favorite thing in the World. He makes the best breakfasts, and French meals and bbq's.

12. Who is the first to admit they are wrong? This is hard, but I say me.

13. Who has more siblings? Mike has 6 siblings, and I only have 1.

14. Who wears the pants in the relationship? We each have a leg in!

15. What do you like to do together? Everything, we love to horseback ride, rock climbing, camping, playing games, and mainly being with our family!

16. Who eats more sweets? We both love sweets. I used to eat more when we first got married, but I think he passes me now!

17. Guilty Pleasures? Dr. Pepper, rock climbing, snowboarding, millefeuille(french pastry), river rafting, and action movies.

18. How did you meet? We meet up in Jackson we worked at the same resort together. He did river guiding and I was horseback riding guide.

19. Who asked whom out first? We were really good friends in the beginning, so it just kinda eventually happened.

20. Who kissed who first? He did, we were both laughing that it took us that long to kiss.

21. Who proposed? Well Mike is pretty romantic..:) He took me camping with his family. He waited until it was dark and he said I needed to go with him to hold the flashlight while he went to the bathroom.. so I finally gave in and went. I was turned away from him holding the flashlight, and he said ok I'm down, and I turned around and he was on his knee and he asked me.. lol.. We still laugh about it all the time!

22. His best features and qualities? His sense of humor, love for his family, face, korean legs, and he is really strong.

Here's Bridger in a deep conversation with Grandpa(he calls him Papa) Everytime we look at pictures of Grandma and Grandpa he gets really sad that there not around, and he talks about the 4 wheeler and sheep and tractors that are at there house. So we just call them and it makes him happy!

When Bridge was talking to Papa on the phone he had to show him his choo choo blanket and his train set..

HAPPY 24Th!!

We had a great week.. I hope everyone had a Happy 24th. We actually forgot it was a holiday, since we haven't been here during the Summer in the last 8 years, but we ended up having lots of fun. I'm trying to keep busy to keep my mind off of my dumb broken tailbone. It's pretty painful, but is getting better. I guess the good that came out of it is the doc is going to induce me early, so the baby will be a little smaller to come out.. Anyways here is some of the fun stuff we did this last week.
